DO2 = CO x CaO2
DO2 = (HR x SV) x (Hb x 1.39 x O2 saturation + PaO2 x 0.003)
Differentials include:
- Respiratory Failure
- Circulatory Failure
- Anaemia: Acute or Chronic
- Blood Loss
- Failure to produce blood cells
- Increased breakdown of blood cells
- Pain
- Hypoglycaemia
- Increased Vagal Tone
